Spirited Sounds from a Schoenstein

$14.98
Andrew Peters ably shows the flexibility of Schoenstein & Co. Opus 137 in Historic Franklin Presbyterian Church, Franklin, Tennessee. The organ has 12 voices and 14 ranks and with careful design manages to include three 16’ stops; two open diapasons; open, stopped and chimneyed metal flutes; a 6-rank independent diapason chorus; a pair of strings; and both an oboe and a trumpet, as well as two swell boxes. A broad range of literature demonstrates that a small instrument is not necessarily limiting. Andrew Peters is a graduate of St. Olaf College, Northfield, Minnesota and has studied with John Ferguson, Todd Wilson, Noel and Barbara Piercy, Agnes Armstrong, Douglas Cleveland and Wilma Jensen and has served on the faculty of Case Western Reserve University. He is presently the Pastoral Musician at Second Presbyterian Church, St. Louis, Missouri.
