Albert Bollinger plays four historic organs in upper Austria on this first CD in a planned series. An excellent, 32-page book in English with color illustrations describes the organs: 1634 Putz/1708 Egedacher at Schlägl Monastery, 1587 chamber organ in the convent at Kremsmünster, 1580 regal at the museum in Lambacher, 1746 Nicolaus Rumel the Elder choir organ at the abbey in Wilhering. Composed in the 16th through 18th centuries, the repertoire fits the organs.
