Austrian organist Martin Haselböck performs the complete organ works of Franz Liszt on four different organs built by German organbuilder Friedrich Ladegast (1818 - 1905), whose work Liszt admired. The DVD included in this set features commentary by Haselböck (in German and English) on Liszt and his organ works. The DVD also features, among snippets of other pieces performed by Haselböck, a 1986 recording of the Fugue on B-A-C-H at the Cathedral in Merseburg. On the five CDs included in the set, Haselböck surveys Liszt's complete organ works on Ladegast organs at the Cathedral in Merseburg, at the Evangelischen St. Jakobskirche in Köthen, at the Stadtkirche St. Peter in Hohenmölsen, and the cathedral in Schwerin. Also includes a paperback book of 156 pages which discusses Liszt's organ works in depth, as well as the organs on which Haselböck plays.
