"The two volumes of Trios for Organ contain forty-three short compositions for two manuals and pedal. They were written originally for my own students, to fill what I felt was a need for more music in the trio style- especially pieces shorter and less difficult than the Bach trio sonatas. They may therefore be used by a teacher and student for the improvement of organ technique. They may be performed in church at various moments during the service.
