Martin Rost vividly captures the magnificent Stellwagen Organ of St. Mary’s Church in this recording. The latest restoration work was conducted by the staff of Göteborg Organ Art Center, Kristian Wegscheider Organ Company of Dresden, Alexander Schuke Organ Company of Potsdam, and Hilke Frach-Renner Restoration worship of Dresden, in addition to Rost’s own discovery of archival organ building documents. Rost’s choice of repertoire is perfectly suited, while the combination of instrument and performer captivates the listener.
