2 CDs for the Price of One William Teague plays the 105-rank Aeolian-Skinner contracted in 1955 and completed in 1959 with the collaboration of Roy Perry, the famous A-S representative who had great talent in tonal design and finishing. Teague, a native of Gainesville, Texas, dedicated the completed organ and is the organist/choirmaster emeritus of the Episcopal cathedral in Shreveport, Louisiana. Very rarely recorded, this organ enjoys the sumptuous acoustics of a grand, vertical neo-Gothic building. This 2-CD set represents a retrospective of William Teague’s outstanding artistry as a major concertizing organist of the mid-20th century, collecting several fine performances of almost always excellent technical sound quality. *One work is recorded on the Aeolian-Skinner at First Presbyterian Church, Kilgore, Texas. Under the exclusive management of Lillian Murtagh Concert Management, Mr. Teague played extensively throughout the United States, England, Scotland, Wales, all of Europe, Mexico, Russia, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand. For ten summers, Mr. Teague served as organist and music director for St. Ann’s by the Sea Episcopal Church in Kennebunkport, Maine.
