Rich in photos and illustrations of vibrant color and detail, the book introduces the reader to the John Compton organ built for AVRO (General Association Radio Broadcasting) in 1936. Of particular interest to American readers is an entire chapter devoted to Anton Gottfried, who made the pipes in the organ. Most of the material for this chapter came from the OHS Library and Archives. While the book is written in Dutch, there is a generous English summary for each chapter.
