Dynam-Victor Fumet Organ Works

Dynam-Victor Fumet (1867-1949) was a disciple of Franck, a great improviser and well-known as an organist in France, and less known as a composer. His works are both mystical and highly original, and largely differ from the prevailing structural, rhythmic, melodic, and harmonic influences of his contemporaries Vierne, Tournemire, and Dupré. Frédéric Denis plays the 1899 Henri Didier organ of 3m and 62 ranks, restored in 1987 and tonally intact.
