The chorus Gloria Dei Cantores, directed by Elizabeth C. Patterson, with Organist James Jordan, and the brass quintet Gabriel V perform vocal and instrumental works of Jean Langlais at the Church of the Transfiguration on Cape Cod. The organ is a composite of elements of 15 different E. M. Skinner organs, carefully restored and integrated into a single instrument by Nelson Barden & Associates of Boston. The organ is suspended in the side aisles of the church and runs for nearly one-hundred feet along the length of the building. The booklet for this 2-CD set includes texts and helpful program notes for the works.
