Ensemble Barbaroque comprises seven virtuosos (players in the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande and Opéra de Lyon) who have employed, as the eighth player in their ensemble since 1985, an automatic pipe organ — a ‘’barrel organ.’’ They make rolls for it themselves and receive great audience approval. Works on this CD include original concerted works by Weber, Handel, Marcello, Vivaldi, Lavergne, and Fucik. Very enjoyable!
