Volume One of this 2-volume set is now sold out and no longer available from the OHS. Volume One contained Douglass' text (in English) as based on archival materials and correspondence, written between and among the leading musicians of the day, other organ-builders, and Aristide Cavaillé-Coll during his first 30 years as an organ-builder. Volume Two presents the source letters in their original French. Only a few copies of Volume Two remain. Volume Two is written in French, and is NOT translated into English.
