Named for the daughter of a friend, Emma Bardac, who would later be Debussy’s wife, the Dolly Suite is the only music to which Fauré gave non-musical titles. Though Fauré wrote no music for the organ, the suite has been transcribed by Otto Depenheuer and presents an opportunity for organists to learn more of the composer’s language and style.
