Great European Organs No. 55
Konstantin Reymaier plays the Arp Schnitger Organ of St. Jacobi, Hamburg St. Jacobi's Schnitger organ may represent the most important organ restoration in history. The famed Jürgen Ahrend meticulously studied the jumble of material and information resulting from earlier rebuildings and World War II bombs, then rewove it in 1993 as Arp Schnitger surely must have built this magnificent and large instrument in 1692. Konstantin Reymaier plays works which must have been known to this organ when the works were recently composed!
