JONGEN: Symphonie Concertante DUPRÉ: Concerto in e, op. 31; Cortège et Litanie, op. 19/2 Franz Hauk, organist at the very large Klais organ in the Ingolstadt (Germany) Münster and the Igolstadt Philharmonic conducted by Alfredo Ibarra perform these bulwarks of the repertoire. The Jongen is “one of the most spectacular of a spate of late 19th, early 20th century pieces written to display the combatative possibilities of setting a full orchestra and a large concert organ at each other’s throats.”
