When OHS visited the Archabbey of St. Meinrad in 1993, Goulding & Wood had not yet installed the present organ of 70 ranks and three manuals. The new organ (1997) now speaks directly down the 180-foot nave and sounds under a 58-foot ceiling. The Archabbey church is the spiritual center of an active community of more than 100 Benedictine monks. Kevin David Lamb plays the Goulding & Wood organ in a program which begins with the Monastery Processional composed by William Horatio Clarke for the dedication of the Church’s Estey Great Double Organ a century ago and ranges from Praetorius to Dupre.
