Songs and Chants in Praise of Mary When choosing a program of their own favorite pieces, the professiona musicians comprising Voices of Ascension, along with their conductor, Dennis Keene, happened to come with many works in praise of Mary, or in a similar mood. Although very different, Keene writes that they share a "deep, internal world of great serenity and beauty." From the Church of the Ascension in Greenwich Village, New York City, Voices of Ascension masterfully performs works spanning four centuries.
