James D. Hicks continues his quest to discover hidden organ music treasures.  His 17th volume of the Nordic Journey series, which is a double-CD set, features the organ of Bodø Cathedral, Norway, as well as a few tracks recorded on the Klais organ of the Hallgrímskirkje in Reykjavík, Iceland.  In Volume XVII, Dr. Hicks makes a  musical excursion, covering a variety of contemporary pipe organ traditions as exemplified in the works of several living composers, with a program that goes across the Atlanta, from America through Greenland, Iceland, and Norway, and back again to America.

In some tracks in Volume XVII, Dr. Hicks collaborates with a classical violinist, a player/ composer of the French Horn, and a specialist on the Hardanger Fiddle.
