Today, the organ in the Ocean Grove Auditorium, Ocean Grove, New Jersey, is 177 ranks on five manuals with ten divisions and a total of 10,823 pipes. It began life in 1908 as a 14-rank instrument by Robert Hope-Jones, who had recently opened his Elmira, New York factory. Its most recent addition is a 14-rank antiphonal division built by A. R. Schopp’s Sons of Alliance, Ohio. The famous auditorium still hosts a summer festival of organ recitals played by renowned guest artists and the Auditorium’s Organist in Residence, Gordon Turk.
