The American Collection: Rollin Smith plays the 1883 Hilborne Roosevelt
The American Collection was recorded in stereo and issued in 1973. It features original organ works spanning 70 years by eleven native-born American composers (four of whom were alive at the time of the recording) played on the largest surviving organ by Hilborne Roosevelt—still tonally intact. This was the first recording of original American organ music on a historic American organ.
