Reflecting on the family names Reuchsel that dominated the musical life of Lyon for more than a century, speaking of a dynasty comes naturally. The members of this family were not only church organists, but committed pedagogues who engaged the Lyon audiences with publications, introductory lectures, and carefully planned programs. Musical organizations that were formed at the initiative of the Reuchsels also left an edifying imprint by introducing contemporary artists and their works to the Lyon public.  Manfred Meier-Appel plays the 1912 George Stahlhuth Orgel der Stadtpfarrkirche Saint-Martin in Luxemburg.
