The idea of transcribing three great violin concertos for organ accompaniment came about because of the existence of a remarkable instrument - the Luigi Linguardi organ built for the Church of San Pietro al Po in Cremona. The transcriptions featured on this CD take full advantage of the technical and tonal resources of the Cremona organ.
