un récital d'orgue à Pontoise
Here, Phillipe Bardon plays varying works on an instrument once played by Claude Balbastre, Jean-Jacques and Jacques-Marie Beauvarlet-Charpentier, Lefébure-Wely, Alexandre Guilmant, Eugène Gigout, Léon Boëllmann, Marcel Dupré, Robert Valette, and Gaston Litaize. The original instrument dates back to 1721. It was restored in 1784 by the firm of François-Henri Clicquot. Although the Montre pipes were destroyed in riots in 1793 during the French Revolution, the Clicquot reeds survived. After housing prisoners of war, the church returned to worship in 1802, and the organ was repaired by Pierre-François Dallery in 1805. The organ was reconstructed by Daublaine-Callinet in 1844, and the choir organ was restored by Cavaillé-Coll in 1855. The organ was flooded by a huge storm in 1875, and was rebuilt by Aristide Cavaillé-Coll. The instrument was modified again by the Cavaillé-Coll firm in 1896. After World War I, Victor Gonzalez rebuilt the organ using old materials, and the choir organ of Cavaillé-Coll was replaced. Following World War II, Louis Eugène-Rochesson restored the instrument, and in 1980, the instrument had become unplayable, and had to be restored again, this time by La société Gonzalez. Currently, the four manual instrument utilizes mechanical key action and electric stop action.
