Virgil Fox, famously playing the Wanamaker Organ for the 1939 Philadelphia AGO National Convention, introduced the world to his creation “Come Sweet Death” based on a song by J. S. Bach. On this new CD, Peter Richard Conte commemorates the centennial of Fox’s birth in a live concert given on the Wanamaker Organ, playing works connected to Fox and from his repertoire.
