Cochereau en concert à Notre-Dame de Paris
Pierre Cochereau served as organist at Notre-Dame in Paris from 1955 until his death in 1984. This CD combines live performances from 1969-1975. Cochereau is best known for his improvisational work, though he felt this “burdensome” reputation diminished recognition of his capabilities as an interpreter.
