St. Peter’s Day at York Minster
St. Peter’s Day is the Patronal Festival of York Minster and the Choir provides a diverse and highly polished set of repertoire. Some of the repertoire bears significance to York Minster, as both Jackson and Moore served prior organists/directors. Additionally, this premiere recording of the Missa Brevis by Briggs was commissioned for the Choir of York Minster. The Walton Coronation, in a highly effective reduction for solo organ, displays the full power of both choir and organ, aptly fitting for this festive occasion.
